KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 09: To ensure inclusive participation in the upcoming elections, “Voters on Election Duty” including Civil Employees, Police personnel, Polling Agents, drivers, conductors, and cleaners deployed for election duties in Kishtwar district will have the opportunity to cast their votes via postal ballot.
Assembly Constituency Wise Facilitation Centres have been set up at DC Office Complex in line with Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines and voting has been scheduled on 10th and 11th September, 2024.
The District Election Office, Kishtwar spearheaded by District Election Officer Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure these essential polling personnel from Civil, Police Sectors, Transport etc. who are voters in the district but shall remain deployed on election duty on 18th September, can cast their votes in advance.
Notably, training and orientation sessions for the polling staff assigned to Facilitation Centres were conducted today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Kishtwar.
The sessions, held under the close supervision of Deputy District Election Officer Kishtwar, Idrees Lone, were led by resource persons who provided detailed guidance on the roles, responsibilities, and guidelines to be followed.
The Facilitation Centre at DC Office Complex will cater to about 5,000 voters from 48-Inderwal, 49-Kishtwar and 50-Paddar Nagseni constituencies of the district, ensuring their participation in the democratic process.
It is pertinent to mention that the personnel, deployed with polling parties, nodal officers, field teams, and security forces can submit the Form 12 D to the respective Returning Officers till 10th September, allowing arrangements to be made for their voting at the Facilitation Centre.
All the voters will cast their postal ballot at the Facilitation centres under the equal, secure and transparent conditions on both the above mentioned days.
