KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 06: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat who is also Nodal Officer for Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) today convened a meeting with the officials of MCMC and Media Center Kupwara to review the preparations ahead of J&K Legislative Assembly Election 2024.
On the occasion, the ADDC impressed upon the concerned officials to work with added dedication and close coordination to ensure smooth functioning of the MCMC and Media Centre in the district during the conduct of the Assembly Election.
He directed them to ensure close monitoring of various media platforms including Television Channels, Print and Social Media to check any violation with regard to the broadcast/posting of content against the MCMC guidelines.
He emphasized upon the officials to ensure that all media-related activities are in compliance with election regulations and asked them for monitoring paid news, advertisements to ensure the ethical conduct of media during the election period.
The MCMC plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of election reporting and ensuring that media coverage is fair and unbiased.
