Emphasizes need for heightened vigilance to prevent illegal movement of timber, medicinal plants & other forest produce
SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 04: The Expenditure Observer, Nelapatla Ashok Babu today conducted a comprehensive inspection of forest check posts located at Keegam, Largam, Meemender, and Dumail Chowgam.
During the visit, the Observer took stock of the current situation of their working and emphasized the need for heightened vigilance to prevent the illegal movement of timber, medicinal plants, and other forest-related products.
The Observer directed the ground staff of the Forest Department to maintain a round the clock watch and implement makeshift arrangements to prevent any leakage.
It was underscored that all personnel should maintain comprehensive log books and necessary documentation to ensure proper monitoring and accountability.
The Observer was accompanied by Nodal Officer Expenditure, Muzaffar Ahmad Rather, AEOs, Range Officer and Liaison officer who assisted in the evaluation and implementation of the directives.
The visit aimed to reinforce the importance of stringent controls and adherence to regulations to protect the forest resources to avoid any impact on normal electioneering process and help authorities to follow election commission guidelines properly.
