New Delhi, August 29: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today attended Monsoon Music festival ‘Boondan Phuhar (बूँदन फुहार)’, organised by Girija Darshan Trust, at New Delhi.
In his address, the Lt Governor commended the organisers for the musical evening of Ragas dedicated to rainy season.
The Lt Governor also lauded the significant contribution of Vidushi Sunanda Sharma, a distinguished disciple of Smt. Girija Devi & Pt. Sudarshan Sharma, for preserving and promoting the rich musical and artistic heritage of Banaras.
Vidushi Sunanda Sharma, an Indian Classical Vocalist from Banaras Gharana, enthralled the audience, through her soulful rendition of classical ragas. She was accompanied by Sh Ghulam Ali on Sarangi, Sh Mithilesh Jha on Tabla and Sh Vinay Mishra on harmonium.
