Kupwara, Aug 13:   In order to review the progress of providing Ration cards to all eligible e-Sharam registrants a  joint meeting of Labour & Employment Department and Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs was convened today at Kupwara which  was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan and co-chaired by Labour Commissioner,J&K, S. Charandeep Singh.

During the meeting, The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to reach out to all eligible e-Sharam registrants and undertake the exercise to issue ration cards to the left out registrants at an earliest.

DC reviewed the circle wise pendency and directed to take the help of Numberdars, Ex-PRIs and AWWs and visit the houses of the registrants so that no eligible registrant is left out. She asked the concerned to complete the process within a two days timeline.

Labour commissioner,on the occasion highlighted the directions  passed by Supreme Court of India  wherein the State/UT Governments have been directed to issue Ration Cards to the left out registrants of the e-Shram Portal.He advised the concerned to work with coordination to achieve the desired results within the shortest possible time.

He urged all those e-Shram registrants who do not have a Ration Card or are not included in their entitled household to come forward and get in touch with the nearest Tehsil Supply Offices (TSOs) in their respective districts so that ration Cards in their favour are issued on priority.

The left out e-Shram registrants have been requested to bring the requisite documents viz Aadhaar card, Domicile certificate, Income proof and e-Shram card along with them for on the spot issuance of ration cards in their favour by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs. Furthermore, all the e-Shram registrants who have not completed their eKYC with the Department have also been requested to complete the same on urgent basis.

Meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, Mohammad Rouf Rehman, DY. Director CAPD, ALC Kupwara, AD Food, TSOs, representatives of traders’ federation and transport Kupwara.
