Police attaches property of notorious drug peddler in Kupwara

*August 01:* In an action against drug trafficking, police in Kupwara have attached 16.5 marlas of land under Khasra No. 732, belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Mir son of Ab Jabbar Mir of Khumriyal Kupwara. This action was taken under Section 68(E) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS).

The property was identified as illegally acquired during the investigation of Case FIR No. 245/23, registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station Kupwara.

The accused Manzoor Ahmad Mir has also been taken into preventive custody earlier under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS).

Kupwara Police urges all residents to assist in the fight against drug peddling by providing any relevant information. Community cooperation is essential to combat this menace. Individuals found engaging in drug peddling will face strict legal consequences.
