Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir – 27,july

Today, the Rotary Club of Kashmir, in association with the Gulmarg Development Authority alongside Crescent Public School, organized a significant cleanliness drive in the picturesque valley of Gulmarg. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, Shri Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, who flagged off the initiative aimed at maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of this renowned tourist destination.

Rotarians including Sdr Manjeet Singh, Sameer Wazir, Adil Shah, and Dr. Touseef Ahmed, were also present at the event, demonstrating their commitment to community service and environmental stewardship. The event saw active participation from volunteers residing in the area, who joined hands in the collective effort to ensure a cleaner and greener Gulmarg.

Speaking at the event, Advisor to LG, Shri Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the Rotary Club of Kashmir, Gulmarg Development Authority, Crescent Public School, and all the volunteers involved in the cleanliness drive. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in preserving the natural beauty of Gulmarg and creating a sustainable environment for future generations to enjoy.

CEO Gulmarg Development Authority Shri Waseem Raja While speaking on the occasion said that The cleanliness drive not only aimed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of Gulmarg but also to promote a sense of civic responsibility among residents and visitors alike. Such initiatives play a vital role in fostering community engagement and instilling a culture of cleanliness and environmental consciousness.

President The Rotary Club of Kashmir Sdr Rtn Manjeet Singh extends its gratitude to all those who participated in the event and reaffirms its commitment to promoting initiatives that contribute to the betterment of society and the environment.The Event was supported by The Vintage Gulmarg.
