Samba, June 28:
On 27-06-2024 around 1820 hrs, it was learnt through reliable sources that some person informing desecration of a cattle carcass lying in the general area of Ward No. 08, Triloke di Chapri, Samba.
Immediately, a case FIR no.176/24 got registered at PS Samba under relevant sections.
A special team headed by DySP Hqrs Samba was constituted along with SHO PS Samba and investigation was taken up. Police team reached on spot and took the same into custody.
Using technical and physical aid, several suspects were zeroed in and were questioned.
Meanwhile, two persons namely Rohit and Ajay R/O Samba were apprehended and were put to sustained questioning. Upon this, they disclosed that they were hired by Rajan Sambyal S/O Jagdev Singh, R/O Garh Mandi, Samba to dispose off the body of his deceased cow. As a result, few body parts of cow carcass came into the notice of public thus hurting the religious sentiments of a particular community.
Further, all three persons have been detained and legal proceedings have been initiated under law.
Moreover general public is appealed not to fall prey to any kind of rumour mongering and desist from spreading any such content which can hurt the sentiments of public at large and has the potential of causing disturbance.
