Srinagar, April 13 : A accident in the Khanpura area of Phagsoo, Thathri sub-division, Doda district, has resulted in the loss of five lives and left four others injured on Saturday evening.

 

The incident involved a Maruti Suzuki Eco vehicle with registration number JK06A 3089, which met with the accident while traveling from Thathri to Khanpura Phagsoo.

 

As per the details available with the Daily Spark News — upon receiving the information, officials rushed to the scene. “Two individuals were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, and three more victims tragically succumbed to their injuries later,” revealed the details.

 

Also, the deceased have been identified as Mukhtiyar Ahmed (28), from Bandoga; Riyaz Ahmed and Mohd Rafi, both from Phagsoo; Ireena Begum from Ghunti; and a baby girl, daughter of Mohd Amir. “Additionally, four injured individuals, including Saima Begum, wife of Mohd Amir, are currently receiving medical treatment.”

 

Moreover, the authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident to determine the cause and circumstances leading to this tragic incident. While more details are awaited as the investigation progresses.—(DSN)
