This vibrant festival, celebrated with immense fervor and joy by Sikhs around the world, holds significant cultural and religious importance as it marks the onset of harvesting season and the beginning of the Sikh New Year.

On the occasion, Minga Sherpa visited the Chatti Padshahi Gurdwara in Baramulla, joined devotees to actively participate in their religious festivities, and extended his best wishes for a prosperous and blissful Baisakhi.

During his visit, the DC also conducted a comprehensive assessment of the arrangements made for the seamless celebration of the occasion to ensure necessary measures are in place to facilitate a smooth and enjoyable experience for the devotees.

Speaking during the occasion, the DC extended his warm greetings to the community and said that it gives him immense joy to join Sikh brothers and sisters on this auspicious day, which holds deep cultural and religious significance.

Minga Sherpa further said that the festival symbolizes renewal, growth, and the spirit of unity as people from all faiths come together to celebrate the harvest season and welcome the new year with prayers, festivities and acts of kindness.
