Pulwama, April-02: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senior leader and DDC Chairman Pulwama Mr. Bari Andrabi on Tuesday urged the governor administration of UT of Jammu and Kashmir to release the pending payment to contractors who in spite of trying circumstances have completed various vital development projects and other developmental works in the UT of J&K. According to a statement, The senior PDP leader sought immediate release of the pending payments to the contractors and urged Lt. Governor to personally intervene in the matter. Mr. Bari said that it is ‘ironic’ as to how the UT administration can postpone the payment to a contractor for an indefinite period. He said that the work order and issuance of tender or even allotment/ authority letter to the contractor is a pre-condition in itself that the funds for the requisite project are available with the government.
