one day job fair at DECC – Poonch on 06-03-2024 (Wednesday) in which youth especially job seekers from across the district participated enthusiastically and were benefited by the information provided by District Employment & Counseling Centre – Poonch
In the event, Eight Companies/Job Providers which includes Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Bank, Life Insurance Corporation, Mirror Infotech Pvt. Ltd & Jamkash Trucking Pvt Ltd and others participated with 460 vacancies in the said job fair and shortlisted over 65 candidates for various posts. Nearly 200 candidates participated in the job fair organized by DECC – Poonch.
During the welcome address, Sh. Mohd. Rafiq (JKAS), Deputy Director – DECC, Poonch disseminated the information to the unemployed youth about aims & objectives of the said job fair and other deliverables/activities of the department such as Registration of unemployed youth, implementation of various self employment schemes of Mission Youth (Mumkin, Tejaswini, Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative). Deputy Director – DECC emphasized on registration of unemployed youth on employment portal (jakemp.nic.in) & NCS portal (ncs.gov.in) for availing the benefits of various employment related opportunities.
Job Seekers have had a fruitful interaction with the company representatives about the changing requirements of job skills required for employment in the contemporary times.
The event was attended by other district officers such as Prinicipal ITI Poonch, Lead Bank Manager J&k Bank, Nodal officer J&K EDI Poonch besides other officials from various agencies.
