*Poonch:* The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary (IAS), chaired a meeting at the DC office to review the progress of ongoing projects under the district Capex budget for 2023-2024.

Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Sandesh Kumar Sharma, Chief Planing Officer, PO-ICDS /Gen.Manager DIC, Khalid Hussain Wafa, SE PWD(R&B), Kewal Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Shafiq Mir, CEO Education, Bishamber Dass, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr.P.A Khan, DEPO, Narinder Mohan Suri, besides Executive agencies of different departments were present in the meeting.

The meeting focused on reviewing works related to various sectors such as Rural Development, Jal Shakti, Roads and Buildings, Health, School Education, Irrigation, Tourism, Urban Development, JPDCL, and more.

During the meeting, a comprehensive department-wise evaluation was conducted to gauge the status of all ongoing projects under the district Capex budget. It was disclosed that out of the total 1746 works allocated, 1226 projects have been successfully completed, 1696 have been tendered, and 1668 works have been allotted/started. This indicates an impressive completion rate of 70.22% for projects within the district.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned officers to expedite the tendering process for the remaining works and ensure that the allotted projects commence promptly. He stressed the need for strict compliance with the specified timelines.

Moreover, the Deputy Commissioner provided a detailed update on the status of each project, highlighting the contributions of the respective executive agencies and officers involved.

In order to facilitate the timely execution of both ongoing and new projects, the Deputy Commissioner issued a series of directives to accelerate the pace of work.
