KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 20: A group of 34 girls, comprising students from 9th to 12th grade drawn from the aspirational block of Marwah today set off on a transformative educational journey to Jammu.

 

This initiative for the girls’ tour forms part of the flagship Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan, orchestrated by the Department of Social Welfare.

 

The entourage was flagged off by ADDC, Sham Lal here from the DC Office Complex.

 

Present at the event were DDC Councilor Marwah, Sheikh Zaffarulah, and the district officers including – Nodal Officer BBBP, Zubair Ahmed Lone, CEO, Prehlad Bhagat, and other officials.

 

Earlier, interacting with the students, the ADDC emphasized the invaluable opportunity provided to them by the tour. He urged the students to make the most of it.

 

The primary objective of this exposure tour is to provide the girls with firsthand exposure to premiere educational institutions, Heritage sites and IIT Jammu. These interactions aim to inspire and empower these young minds, fostering their growth and igniting aspirations for a brighter future, informed the officers.
