The inauguration of this unique section has been made possible through the generous donation of infrastructure worth Rs 1 lakh by Mangal Singh & Priya Andotra. This gracious contribution has facilitated the creation and establishment of a thoughtfully designed space tailored to meet the reading needs and preferences of senior citizens.

Recognizing the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals in their golden years, the newly established section is equipped with a diverse collection of books, periodicals, and resources suiting the interests and requirements of elderly readers. The space is meticulously designed to provide comfort, accessibility, and a serene ambiance conducive to unhurried reading and intellectual engagement.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, DC Rakesh Minhas expressed profound gratitude to Mangal Singh & Priya Andotra for their benevolent donation, emphasizing the significance of initiatives that prioritize the enrichment and well-being of the senior members of our society. “Their contribution not only underscores a commitment to education and literacy but also symbolizes a gesture of respect and appreciation for our elder community members”, DC said.

While expressing his happiness for the contribution made to enrich the lives of senior citizens, Mangal Singh said that this is just a small token of love for the elderly readers who are still connected with the literary world during their golden years.

The library management extends heartfelt thanks to Mangal Singh & Priya Andotra for their invaluable support in materializing this dedicated section for senior citizens. This noble act will undoubtedly serve as a beacon of inspiration, encouraging others to contribute towards initiatives that promote inclusivity and support for our elderly population.

The library welcomes all senior citizens to explore and make the most of this thoughtfully crafted section, inviting them to immerse themselves in the joy of reading and knowledge acquisition within a welcoming and conducive environment.
