VBSY continues in full swing in 6 Panchayat Halqas of Shopian block

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 30: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) is going on in full swing in the district, with Yatra commencing in six Panchayat Halqas of block Shopian today, including Balpora, Shirmal, Tengwani, Naznenpora, Devpora and Keegam

Despite inclement weather conditions, people participated in considerable numbers to take part in the ambitious outreach Yatra, aimed to bring about an information revolution, about various government schemes and other initiatives.

The local populace is being apprised about various government schemes and welfare initiatives of Government of India by means of distribution of printed publicity material while “Vans” mounted with special broadcast screens are continuously disseminating the necessary information among the masses.

During these programmes, many beneficiaries of different schemes have come forward and informed others about the benefits they have obtained, after enrolling themselves in various centrally sponsored schemes.

They have equally urged others to reap the benefits of these welfare schemes.

The objective was to generate awareness of Central Government’s schemes, like PMAY, Ujjwala, PMM Yojana, JJM, Poshan Abhiyan, Jan Dhan Yojana and also to ensure saturation of flagship schemes by reaching out to the people at their doorsteps.

During the campaign, on spot registration of the people for various schemes, conducting of medical camps and free treatment facilities, banking services and drone demonstrations were also organised so that people can avail the benefits of these schemes.
