KARNAH:The Power Development Department (PDD) in Karnah is intensifying efforts to combat power theft and ensure fair electricity distribution in the winter months. Recent actions involved targeted raids in Teetwal Block, where officials seized electric heaters and boilers that were overloading the power supply, leading to unplanned power cuts. PDD’s checking squads executed thorough inspections in various areas of Teetwal Block over the past two days. During these operations, they confiscated several power appliances, including high-voltage heaters and illegally used boilers. This decisive action resulted in a substantial reduction in the overall electrical load.An official emphasized that these efforts aimed to provide relief to genuine consumers. They assured ongoing and stringent inspections to maintain a sustained impact on preventing power theft and maintaining a stable power supply for the community.
