DODA, NOVEMBER 25: In a noteworthy initiative, Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Government District Library in Doda.

The primary focus of this visit was to evaluate the working of the institution and develop it as a hub of the knowledge and literature for the public in general and students and youth in particular.

The DC also evaluated the cleanliness standards of the library’s washroom facilities, ensuring a hygienic environment for both staff and visitors.

During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh also scrutinized the operational aspects of the library, emphasizing the necessity of its 24/7 functionality. This move aims to cater to the diverse needs of the community, allowing residents to access the library’s resources at any hour of the day.

Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh engaged in discussions with officers and officials of the district library to assess the insights into the current status of the district library. Recognizing the importance of technological integration, the Deputy Commissioner advocated for the implementation of round-the-clock wifi facilities. This strategic addition seeks to promote a conducive environment for learning and research, aligning the district library with modern educational standards.
