Karnah, Tithwal: The border village of Tithwal in Karnah Valley has emerged as a major tourist destination in the last few years. To enhance its scenic beauty and heritage glory, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Social Networking Forum, Nasik, is installing a remarkable 104 feet tall National Flag at the Tithwal-Chileana Crossing Point (TCCP). The flag will be hoisted on 21st November 2023, with a significant number of senior military and civil administration dignitaries expected to attend the ceremony.
Following the flag hoisting, the 1st edition of the Tiranga Cup 2023 Cricket Tournament will be inaugurated at the Shan-e-Tithwal Cricket Ground. The tournament is scheduled to be played over a 23-day period, from 21st November to 13th December 2023, at Tithwal. Thirty-two teams from the Karnah sub-division will be participating in this exciting tournament.
The towering 104 feet flag serves as a testament to the resilience of the people of Karnah Valley, who continue to stand tall despite facing numerous challenges from both the enemy and nature.
This event not only symbolizes national pride but also promotes the spirit of unity and resilience within the community. The convergence of the military, civil administration, and the local populace showcases a harmonious effort to celebrate the rich cultural and historical significance of Tithwal.
