Missing since 2 days, B’pora woman found dead at SK Payeen

A 26-year-old woman, who was missing for the last two days, was found dead on Thursday at Saderkot Payeen area of Bandipora district.

An official informed that the deceased woman, identified as Waheed Bano, daughter of Abdul Ahad Dar from S K Payeen village in Bandipora, was found dead this evening near Wular Gate in the area.

“Upon the recovery of the body, the police arrived at the scene and took the body into its possession,” the official said, adding that after completing the legal medical formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites.

The official said that concerned police station has initiated an investigation into the matter and has commenced inquest proceedings—(KNO)
