Instructs departments to ensure timely completion of dev. works, extending scheme benefits

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 02: To review the status of the works taken up under District Capex Plan 2023-24, PRI Grants, and CSS/ UT Schemes in the Zainapora sub division of the district, a meeting of all Sectoral/ District/ sub divisional officers was today held by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb at Common Facility Centre (CFC) Zainapora Shopian.

DDC Chairperson, Bilqees Jan also attended the meeting. District/ Sectoral Officers and other concerned sub divisional officers and officials also attended the meeting.

At the outset, detailed review of funds released and expenditure made under R&B, Jal Shakti, Education, Health, RDD, PMGSY and other sectors was conducted besides progress of works taken up under DDC, BDC and PRI grants were also discussed threadbare.

The DDC after taking sector wise review of all works directed the officers to ensure 100 percent expenditure in the set time line by accelerating the pace of the works scheduled for completion during the current year.

He directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season.

On the occasion, it was apprised that almost around 800 works have been approved in the Sub Division. 79% of the allotted works have been completed on ground and instructions were passed for completion of the rest of the works.
