Series of activities held across District Ramban to celebrate JK UT Foundation Day, National Unity Day

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 28: Continuing activities to celebrate Foundation Day of UT of Jammu and Kashmir and National Unity Day-2023, Government Departments organized a series of events across Ramban District here under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, to promote patriotism among the people in general and youth in particular.

Social Forestry Division, Ramban, under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer, Mahesh Kumar, conducted a plantation drive in the premises of the office of Range Officer, Batote. It also conducted a patient cleanliness drive in and around the office premises.

The Department of Handicraft conducted a cleanliness drive at CECT Tantreypura in Banihal, with the aim to ensure healthy, clean and hygienic surroundings.

Similarly, the Municipal Committee Banihal carried out a massive cleanliness drive under the theme ‘Special Swachhata Campaign 3.0’. SDM Banihal Zahir Abass Bhat along with other officers and staff of Municipal Committee Banihal participated in the Drive.

The Cooperative Department, Ramban, administered the unity pledge to the staff and members of the Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies at Gool, Banihal and Ukhral as part of JK UT Foundation day and National Unity Day.

Meanwhile, the Election Department organised a cleanliness drive in its office premises, besides administering the ‘Swachhata pledge’ as part of the Special Swachhata campaign
