Mega awareness programme on women centric schemes organized by DHEW Reasi for JKRLM Women

REASI, OCTOBER 28: District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Reasi, under Mission Shakti, on Saturday organised an awareness programme on women centric schemes here at Panchayat Sirla.

The programme was attended by representatives of PRIs and a large number of women of JKRLM.

Speaking on the occasion, District Mission Coordinator, Monika Sharma explained the eligible criteria and the procedure to avail benefits of different Government Schemes and programmes for the welfare of women viz. Integrated Social Security Scheme, UT Marriage Assistance Scheme, PMMVY, BBBP, Skill development courses offered by SBI RSETI, PMKVY, Women Entrepreneurship programme like PMEGP, Women Development Corporation, Tejaswini.

Shaveta, Specialist in Financial Literacy, explained about Sukanya Samridhi Yojana for the safe and bright future of girl child. She further explained the services being provided by One Stop Centre.

On the spot registration of the girl child for Sukanya Samridhi Yojana was also done by the DHEW Team.

At the end of the programme, grievances of the women were also noted and they were assured early redressal with the help of the concerned departments.
