RAJOURI, OCTOBER 25: In a grand and spirited inauguration, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today declared open the eagerly anticipated second edition of the All India T20 Peer Panjal Champions Trophy Tournament.

The event, held in the Sports Stadium Kheora, brought together cricket enthusiasts under the resonant theme of “My Town My Pride.” This significant sporting extravaganza was executed through a collaborative effort of the District Administration, the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council and the Hill View Cricket Club.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the pivotal role of sports in combating the drug menace, reinforcing that the primary motto of the event is to liberate the youth from the clutches of substance abuse and redirect their boundless energies towards a constructive path. This declaration underlines the transformative power of sports in the lives of young individuals.

Reiterating the commitment of the Government towards promoting sports activities, the DC said that the necessary measures are being taken to create adequate sports infrastructure to provide best possible platforms to the budding players where they can showcase their talent.

The words of the Deputy Commissioner resonated with the attendees as he highlighted that the Peer Panjal Champions Trophy was more than just a cricket tournament; it was a symbol of hope, unity, and community.

This magnificent tournament witnessed participation from teams hailing from various corners of India, creating a vibrant blend of cultures and talents on the cricket field. It’s more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of the unity that sports can bring.

Notably, the winning team will be awarded a generous cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh, while the runner-up will receive Rs 2.5 lakhs – a testament to the commitment of the organizers towards promoting and rewarding excellence in the realm of sports.

The All India T20 Peer Panjal Champions Trophy signifies the convergence of athleticism, sportsmanship, and social responsibility, echoing a resonant message of hope and positivity. Among the others, the DDC Member Darhal, Iqbal Malik; President MC Rajouri, Mohd Arief; Karan Saryal; Kapil Saryal, and many other prominent citizens and PRI members of Rajouri attended the event, lending their support to this commendable initiative.

ADC Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; DPO, Auqil Nuvaid; AD Employment, Muqlis Ali and other officers were present on the occasion.
