ANANTNAG, OCTOBER 12: To commemorate ‘International Day of Girl Children’, an awareness programme was today held at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Wanpoh Anantnag,

A total of 150 girl students participated in the event.

The resource person for the said program was the Panel Lawyer Advocate Masood Baba who was accompanied by PLV Mohammad Ashraf and PLV Nausheeba.

This year’s theme of the international day of girl child was “Invest in girl rights, our leadership, our well being” and the girls were made aware about their rights and in case there is infringement of their rights, where to come for redressal.

In addition, painting and debate competitions were also held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Ranibagh the students who secured first three positions in both the competitions were felicitated at ADR centre Anantnag.

The program ended with the vote of thanks by the Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School Wanpoh.
