Four suspects held in Beerwah: Army

Srinagar, Sep 26, KDC: Four suspected individuals were arrested in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, army said today.

“In a Joint Operation launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice & Int agencies on the intervening night of 25-26 Sep in Beerwah, #Budgam, four suspected individuals have been apprehended,” said an army spokesman on X.

“03xPistols & other war like stores recovered. Investigation in progress,” he added.

Meanwhile, police in a handout said “In a joint operation, following specific information, police and army apprehended Azim Bashir Wani of Idgah Mohalla Beerwah and recovered 03 pistols along with other war-like stores for his possession.”

The investigation is underway, 03 additional suspects summoned for questioning, the statement added. (KDC)
