A number of teachers and other school staff are without salary for more than a month due to alleged want of Drawing and Disbursing Officers or non-assigning of powers to eligible persons in various educational institutions in Srinagar.

A number of teachers told that their salary for the previous month has not been released so far as authorities have either not posted a full-fledged DDO or delegated powers to eligible members, causing hardship to them.
