DDC reviews construction of bunkers in border blocks of Samba District

District Development Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma today convened a meeting to assess the progress of bunker construction in the border Blocks of the District.

The DDC, in the course of this review, emphasized the need for early completion of targeted bunkers and directed the twin Executing Agencies of RDD and PWD to promptly issue tenders for the remaining bunkers.

To expedite the process, the executing agencies were asked to hold regular meetings with the contractors to prioritize the completion of the tasks.

Furthermore, the Executing Agencies were instructed to deploy their Junior Engineers (JEs) for on-spot inspections, ensuring quality control and effective execution. In addition, the revenue authorities were tasked with identifying alternate sites for bunkers, based on the public demands.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, SDMs, Executive Engineer PWD, Executive Engineer REW, Assistant Commissioner (Development), Tehsildars, and concerned BDOs.
