DC Poonch finalises Shri Buddha Amarnathji Ji Yatra arrangements

Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary today visited Degree College Ground Poonch and inspected the final arrangements for smooth conduct of the Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023.

The DC, while reviewing the arrangements, directed the Nodal Officers to personally visit the facilities including designated lodgment centers to ensure all amenities are in place for the facilitation of yatris.

The DC impressed upon the stakeholder departments to ensure provision of safe drinking water, power supply, Medical facilities, toilets, Sanitation facilities, lodging and langer facilities, Traffic and security arrangements etc. He directed the departments to work in tandem and finalize the necessary arrangements.

The yatra is set to start on August 18, 2023, and culminate on August 27, 2023, with the holy mace (Chhari Mubarak) which is being held on August 28, 2023 from Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch to Shri Budha Amarnath Mandir Mandi.
