DC Poonch reviews arrangements for Independence Day Celebrations, Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra

District Development Commissioner Poonch:Yaseen M. Chodhary chaired a meeting here in the Dak Bungalow to discuss and finalize the arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day celebration and the revered annual Shri Buddha Amar Nath JiYatra.

The meeting was attended by SSP Poonch, Vinay Kumar; Additional District Dev. Commissioner Poonch, Sandesh Kumar Sharma; Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik; CEO, Dev. Authority, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer; PO ICDS, Hussain Wala; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Naheem Un Nissa Bhatti, Principal SKC Degree College Poonch, Dr. Jasbir Singh, District Treasury Officer, Rashid Dostuum, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anees Altaf Nabi,Tehsildar Hqr., Jhangir Hussain, Xen PWD, Bashir Yasir Khicloo, Xen PHE, Riaz Ahmed, AD Handloom/ Handicraft, Shazam Rehman, District Youth & Sports Officer Poonch, Mohd. Qasim, District Culture Officer, Dr. Alamdar Adam, Official Anchor, Pardeep Khanna, ARTO Poonch, MVI, Gurmeet Singh, AD Food, Ranjeet Singh, Deputy Director Employment, District Social Welfare Officer, Mohinder Paul,Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Sharma, besides other concerned officers were present.

During the meeting, Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar provided a comprehensive briefing on the security arrangements for both the events. The discussions encompassed various aspects, including the boarding and lodging facilities for the yatris, as well as their overnight stay in Poonch before embarking on the onward journey to Mandi.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of meticulous planning and execution to ensure the success and safety of both events. He expressed his gratitude to all officers and departments involved for their dedication and commitment towards making these programs a memorable and secure experience for all participants.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the concerned officers to work in close coordination and adhere to the timelines to guarantee the smooth conduct of the Independence Day celebrations and the Shri Buddha Amar Nath Ji Yatra. He also emphasized the need for continuous monitoring and contingency planning to address any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the events.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed his confidence in the collective efforts of the administration, security forces, and other stakeholders to make the Independence Day celebrations and the Shri Buddha Amar Nath Yatra a grand success.
