YSS observes Vigilance Awareness, Panch Pran Pledge

Srinagar August 05: In connection with the celebration of “Day of Resolution for freedom from corruption (Bhrashthachar Se Mukt Sankalp Diwas”, the Department of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) J&K organized a simple but impressive function at Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports Office, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Integrity pledge was administered to all the employees for eradication of corruption from public life.

Director, Youth Services & Sports J&K, Subash Chander Chibber presided over the function and deliberated upon the importance of celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week for generating awareness for eradicating corruption and increasing accountability and service delivery besides promoting digital governance and reduction of human interface in delivery of public services.

Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports Jammu Suram Chand Sharma discussed various aspects of preventive, punitive and participative vigilance in detail and urged upon the officer especially DDOs to work with utmost care and avoid lapses while discharging duties. He also stressed to install complaint boxes in every offices and ensure that these boxes are regularly opened and complaints are redressed in a time bound manner. He also exhorted upon all the DYSSOs to work in close coordination with all the Deputy Commissioners to organize the programs under “Azadi Ka Amrat Mahotsav” as per schedule.

Deputy Director Central, Jitendra Mishra also spoke on the occasion, Assistant Director, Jammu Mool Raj DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma & other officers of the Department were also present in the ceremony. Later Panch Pran Shapath under “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” was also administered to all the gathering on the occasion.

Meanwhile the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K organised a pledge taking ceremony in the premises of it’s Directorate Office at Wazirbagh Srinagar also. Under the banner of Corruption Free India /Say No to Corruption, Joint Director YSS Kashmir Waseem Raja along with District Youth Services and Sports Officer Srinagar in presence of the Zonal Physical Education Officers of different sports zones of Kashmir division, took a pledge to eradicate corruption from the country as well as society.
