MRSPTU and AIIMS launches job oriented initiatives to promote academic partnership MBA – Hospital Administration and Pharam. D from current session

MRSPTU welcomes J &K students for quality education with special scholarship and welfare schemes to promote new academic partnership, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda in collaboration with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda has started MBA- Hospital Administration and Pharm. D and job oriented courses from the current Academic Session (2023-24) to meet the challenges in the healthcare and management of hospitals.
The Punjab Government established MRSPTU, Bathinda (Punjab) will provide a golden opportunity to students of far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir with a world class quality technical education along with attractive scholarship schemes for J&K students, all Welfare Schemes of the Center and state government in the premier institute of Punjab Government. This was stated at a press conference in Srinagar by MRSPTU, Chairman Admission Cell, Dr. Karanvir Singh who was accompanied by Chairman Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh and Punjab Unaided Colleges Association, president ,

The university officials were in Srinagar to start on spot Admission and Counseling of the MRSPTU.

Dr. Karanvir Singh said the programmes were aimed to initiate joint need based academic, scientific and research programmes in collaboration between both the institutes in the broad area of Medical Sciences, Hospital Administration, Analytics, Engineering and Technology.

Giving details Dr. Singh said MBA Hospital Administration will be a two year (Four semesters) programme. While the Doctor of pharmacy (Pharm. D) is a 6 years programme and candidates will have five years of academic study and one year of internship during the program. Both the programmes will run at University Campus, while the students will gain hands on clinical training and experience at AIIMS.

A first-of-its-kind initiative MBA- Hospital Administration is being started in view of the increasing trend of Super Speciality hospitals globally, which has stimulated the increase in demand for experts in Hospital Administration.

After completing Pharm D candidate can join Health Care team (Hospital), Pharmaceutical Industry, Clinical Research Organization, Insurance Companies or Research & Development. Beside the University also launched Para-medical courses.

The university in the name of Maharaja Ranjit Singh popularly known as “Sher-e-Punjab” will help the students of Srinagar region in realising dreams in Higher education, getting prestigious jobs in the Government as well as private sector and studying abroad through various pathway programmes initiated by the premier University.

The Admission in MRSPTU for Academic Session 2023-24 is open for Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Commerce and Management, Pharmacy, Food Science and Technology, Agriculture, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Computational Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Skill Development.
Under the dynamic leadership of the Punjab Government, the university has launched various new need based courses in emerging technologies.

B.Sc. Medical Technology (Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology), B.Sc. Radio Medical Imaging Technology, B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Science, PG Diploma in Pharmacovigilance, PG Diploma in Intellectual Properties Rights, Integrated Dual Degree BFA-MFA (Applied Arts), MA (Fine Arts), Master of Fine Arts (Painting), Bachelor of Management Studies (Hotel Management & Catering Technology), B.Sc. (Hons.) Forensic Science, B. Tech. Biomedical Engineering and B. Tech. Agricultural Engineering.
