Govt Degree College Sumbal Alumni Meet -2023

Government Degree College Sumbal organized “Alumni Meet 2023” on Friday,
The program was organised by the college Career Counselling and Guidance cell and IQAC in the conference hall of the GDC Sumbal. A good number of Ex-students of the college including recent pass-outs of the institution attended the meet. The event started with the playback of College Tarana and a welcome song presented by students of Music department.

The formal welcome address was given by the Staff secretary, Dr Mehraj Ud Din Parray. Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Shabeena Iqbal Shawl in her address to the Alumni members stressed upon the need for having a strong Alumni Association for GDC Sumbal.

She also highlighted some of the major achievements and activities carried out by the college since the last alumni meet. She assured all kind of possible support to the association in order to make it more vibrant and contributive. Mr. Shameem Ahamad Ganayee, President of the association, who spoke at the occasion thanked the college principal and staff for their continuous support and encouragement. Mr. Hussain Zalpori former student and now a prominent social activist and journalist also shared his memories related to his course of Academic Journey in the College.

All the Alumni members present wowed to stay connected with the college and contribute in the development of their alma mater.
On the occasion some other Alumni members who participated in the meeting include Yasir Ahmad, Rayes Ahmad, John Mohammad and others.
This was followed by an interaction between the alumni members and faculty members. The session proceedings were moderated by Prof. Abbas Ali Beigh. Prof. Bashir Ahmad Khan presented a formal vote of thanks to all the participants and organisers.
