Local youth among 100 Trekkers explore Natural Beauty of adventurous Trek

The Poonch Development Authority (Tourism) today collaborated with the 5 J&K BN NCC and district administration Poonch, to organize a one-day trekking expedition from Sultanpatri to Nandhichool waterfall.

CEO PDA, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer Khan, Gen Manager DIC, Dr.Zakir Hussain, Joint Director Education, and other officers also participated in the day long trekking.

The event aimed to promote adventure tourism in the area and attracted nearly 100 trekkers, including local youth.

During the trek, the participants enjoyed the beauty of the region’s natural landscape, which included rivers, meadows, and conifer forests that covered the mountain ridges. The white river view was a particular highlight, offering trekkers a fascinating sight as they made their way towards the waterfall.

Adding to the event’s enjoyment, Rastriya gans (local musicians) played music during the trek, further enhancing the experience for the participants. The trek was a great success, showcasing the beauty of the area and promoting adventure tourism in the region.

CEO Poonch Development Authority, Dr.Mohd Tanveer khan said that the department of tourism remains committed to promoting tourism in the area and providing opportunities for visitors to explore the region’s natural beauty. By organizing events like the trekking expedition to Nandhichool waterfall, they hope to attract more visitors to the area and support the local economy.

In addition to promoting adventure tourism, Trekkers also Organize Sanitation Drive to Preserve Natural Beauty of Region.The sanitation drive was an excellent initiative, highlighting the importance of responsible tourism and the need to preserve the environment. General Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Joint Director of Education, and other administrative officers, went on a trek on a specific day.
