Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan, today kick-started construction work of 1.0 km Hara Gali to Naka top Gool road being constructed under NABARD RIDF-XXVIII at an allocated cost of Rs.1.36 crore.
BDC Chairperson Gool, Shkeela Begum; DDC member Gool, Sakhi Mohd; AEE PWD, Vimal Krishen Sidha, JE, PRIs, prominent citizens and locals were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said that with the completion of this road project a long pending demand of the area would be fulfilled. She said that this road project will provide smooth transport connectivity to facilitate the people of the area.
She also said that the government is committed to meet the genuine demands of the people and the PRIs should bring public demands and issues in the notice of the administration for their timely redressal.
While interacting with the people, the Chairperson informed about the initiatives taken by the District Development Council and other departments, especially for the development of the rural and far-flung areas of the district.
After listening to issues and demands highlighted by the locals, the Chairperson assured them that the same shall be taken up with the higher authorities for their desired redressal.
