The three-day training program on Drug Demand Reduction organised by the District Social Welfare Department concluded here today.

The program, organized as part of the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction, was a timely initiative that underscored the importance of prevention in addressing the problem of substance abuse. The comprehensive training program focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of stakeholders in the field of substance abuse prevention and treatment.

The program’s success was evident in the active participation of 286 stakeholders from various sectors, including teachers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, NSS & NYK Volunteers, police personnel, PRI, and ULB officials. The comprehensive training program was designed to cater to the specific needs of each group, ensuring that they receive the best possible training to prevent substance abuse.

The three-day training program was a significant step towards achieving the goal of a substance abuse-free community. The success of the program reflects the tireless efforts of the Social Welfare Department and the commitment of stakeholders towards ensuring a better future for the community.
