DC Reasi inspects progress of PWD works

Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today conducted an extensive tour to inspect the progress of the developmental works being executed by the PWD.

DDC Reasi embarked on an extensive tour along NH- 144, starting from Baradari Bridge to NAU Deviyan to assess the priority works to be taken up on the damaged stretches of the Highway from RD 24 (Nau Deviyan) to RD 41(Baradari Bridge).

Xen PWD briefed Deputy Commissioner that the works of NH-144 from Nau Deviyan upto Pouni Domail have been issued to National Highway constructions and the work is to be started within days.

During the inspection, the DC asked the department to immediately start the profile correction work to provide relief to the daily commuters.

The DC also issued directions for execution of rigid pavement works along the extensively damaged portions for blacktopping of the road. The concerned executive engineer was asked to expedite the pace of work and complete the projects in stipulated time.

The DDC was accompanied by Xen PWD Reasi, AEE PWD Reasi and the concerned contractor.
