To review the implementation of self employment schemes being implemented in different sectors of the district, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired a meeting of officers of different departments, here in the Mini Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.
The DC took extensive department and scheme wise review of cases sanctioned under PMEGP and other self employment oriented schemes.
The Officers of concerned departments apprised the DC about the status of coverage of beneficiaries under their departmental schemes. District officers were directed to organise outreach awareness camps and sensitized the general public with the help of PRI members regarding self employment opportunities in the District. He stressed upon the officers to convince the people to enroll themselves for different schemes. He asked the officers to verify all cases from the DC office before forwarding.
The DC exhorted the officers to ensure maximum coverage of unemployed youth of the district under different schemes and directed them to work in close coordination and help the youth in getting enrolled under various ambitious schemes.
