DC reviews progress of all roads under PWD and PMGSY sector at Udhampur

To review the latest status of ongoing works of PWD and PMGSY sector in the District, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya chaired a meeting of officers of line departments here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, SE PWD, Kishore Kumar and all Executive engineers attended the meeting. The SDMs and Tehsildars attended the meeting through virtual mode.

The DC took extensive review of all roads, completed and ongoing and directed ACR/SDMs to furnish the status of completed roads (DLP). He also asked to set the timeline for completion of ongoing projects.

The Executing agencies were directed to expedite the progress and complete the roads within a given time line. He further warned responsibility of any deviation from the time line shall be put on the concerned functionaries.

The SDMs were directed to ensure close monitoring of the ongoing works, in their respective jurisdictions to ensure sustained progress and quality of work. The SDMs were further asked to conduct field visits besides convene regular meetings with concerned officers and sort out the issues regarding delay of ongoing work.

The executing agencies were directed to ensure regular follow up of pending issues like NOC from the Forest Department and supervise all the ongoing works and keep checks on the contractors constructing the roads. The contractors who are causing unnecessary delay in the construction works will be fixed and action shall be taken against them, the Deputy Commissioner added.
