DC reviews issues on Udhampur-Chenani NH-44, Sudhmahadev NH-244

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya convened a meeting to review issues related to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL), NH-44 and NH-244. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, other officers and representatives from executing agencies.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various issues, including house compensation, restoration of damaged houses, traffic congestion, road clearance for the Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra and expediting physical progress to meet timelines.

The officers were instructed to promptly resolve any pending land issues in their respective areas and ensure the disbursement of house compensation within a week. The executing agencies were directed to accelerate the pace of work on ongoing projects to ensure their timely completion. The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for coordination with other departments and urged the executing agencies to mobilise manpower and machinery accordingly. The executing agencies were also tasked with providing necessary machinery and equipment to ensure smooth traffic flow during the yatra.
