DC Rajouri reviews water, power supply after recent wind storm & rain

The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting with officials from the Power Development Department (PDD) and Jal Shakti Department to review the status of restoration of public utilities (water, power supply) in the wake of recent windstorm and rain in the district.

During the meeting, the DC directed the officials to ensure the earliest possible restoration of power supply and water supply to affected areas. DC directed for immediate restoration of water and power supply so that the public do not face any inconvenience. He emphasized the importance of taking immediate action to address any issues or deficiencies in the infrastructure and to minimize the inconvenience caused to the public.

The DC also instructed the officials to conduct regular inspections of the power and water supply infrastructure and take necessary steps to prevent future damage. He emphasized the need for proactive measures to be taken to ensure that the infrastructure is maintained and improved in the future.

The officials from the PDD and Jal Shakti Department assured the DC that they are working round the clock to restore power and water supply to affected areas. The DC also asked them to continue working towards the earliest possible restoration of public utilities. He emphasized that providing uninterrupted power and water supply is a basic necessity of the public and the administration is committed to ensuring that these services are available to all.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Superintending Engineer of Hydraulics, Bhram Jyoti Sharma; Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma; and Executive Engineer of PDD Rajouri, Tasadaq Hussain and other concerned officers.
