SHOPIAN, APRIL 28:  On the directions of the Chief Electoral Office, the District Election Office Shopian today held a series of special camps and awareness meetings in degree colleges, higher secondary schools, polytechnic colleges and ITIs of the district.         The camps were attended by large gatherings of eligible voters, prospective voters, BLOs and BLO Supervisors and staff members of the concerned institutions of both 36-Zainpora and 37- Shopian Assembly Constituencies.           Addressing the gatherings, Dy District Election Officer, Jahangeer Ahmad said that because of good response to the enrolment, the time limit of the special summary revision 2023 has been extended up to 6th May 2023 and same need to be informed to general public and encashed to fetch more enrollments.         BLOs were urged to verify the Assured Minimum Facility (AMF) Status of the polling stations and report the gaps at earliest for the redressal of the same.               During the camps, on spot registrations were done by the BLOs and information about online methods viz nvsp.in and voter helpline app was also imparted. The authorities of the concerned institutions were also requested to identify the left out eligible students and ensure their registrations.        The special camps at institution level shall continue on upto 30 April.        So far there has been an addition of 4520 new voters. All EROs and AEROs have been urged to impress upon BLOs to improve the numbers of claims and objections and digitize all the pendency of claims by due dates.        Further all BLO’s were asked to deliver all the EPICS to the concerned voters including migrant voters at an earliest.
