Karnah Kupwara: 27th Battalion of Border Security Force deployed at Tangdhar, Kupwara, J&K has  always endeavoured to the Civic Action Plan of BSF to look after the needs of the border  population as and when required and assist the civil administration to provide community  services in the remote villages in order to strengthen the unity and integrity of the Nation. The 27 Bn BSF medical team (Dr Ravi Sangwan, MO & Dr Shaikh Yasir Arafat, GD MO ) under the initiative, guidance and in presence of Shri Man Singh, Commandant with unit resources has organized three free medical camps after the recent heavy snowfall in February  2023 at village Dhani (13 Feb 2023), village Sudpura (16 Feb 2023) and at village Nawa Gabra (20 Feb 2023) for those villagers who required essential medical help due to the cold  winter diseasesand their age related ailments. The medical officers Sadar Hospital, Karnah and medical officer from PHC Nawa Gabra, Karnah also assisted the Unit Medical team in  successfully organizing the Medical camp for maximum treatment of patients in the three  Medical camps. A total of 1052 numbers of patients of Karnah were distributed free  medicines in the three free medical camp at Village Dhani (233), village Sudpura (348)&  village NawaGabra (471) who took benefit of health facilities provided by BSF. During said  camp, check-up of female patients were also carried out by the Lady Medical Officer & free  medicines were also distributed for the treatment of their illness. Shri Man Singh,  Commandant, 27 Bn BSF inaugurated the camp with the intent of apprising them about  maintaining of cleanliness in the village & personal hygiene for living a healthy life and interacted with local border population about their other local issues.
