February, Feb 04: In order to express solidarity and perceive the well-being of the families of the Police Martyrs, DIG NKR Baramulla Shri Vivek Gupta-IPS under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) facilitated families of police martyrs at District Police Lines Kupwara.

The main aim of the function was to distribute winter apparel among the family members of the police martyrs. On the occasion, ASP Kupwara Shri Farhat Jeelani, DySP DAR Kupwara Shri Syeed Peerzada Mujahid-ul-Haq, DySP PC Kupwara Shri Ajaz Ahmad along with other officers/officials of District Police Kupwara were also present.

At the commencement of the programme, worthy DIG addressed the gathering and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who have laid down their lives in the service of the nation. Soon after the address, the chief guest held interaction with the family members of the martyrs in which various issues/grievances were raised. Worthy DIG assured them that their grievances shall be redressed at appropriate levels as early as possible.

At the end of the function, the winter apparels were distributed among the participants.
