KUPWARA, DECEMBER 28: With the concerted efforts of District Administration Kupwara, Tourism activities are getting boost in the district. Although nature has bestowed the district with lush green forests, water resources and scenic beauty, the district administration has created various avenues and developed many river fronts in Kupwara including one at Goose Kupwara on the banks of Lolab Nallah.  These river fronts have been constructed by the Rural Development Department in collaboration with Geology and Mining Department Kupwara and have been named as Amrit Sarovar River Front.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray has himself taken much interest in developing these river fronts and has visited many times to the Amrit Sarovar RiverFront, Goose, the gateway of famous Lolab Valley.  Despite the fact that Amrit Sarovar River Front at Goose is under construction, the tourists local and from other parts of UT J&K have started visiting the site.  Presently the riverfront is giving different looks at the time of sunrise and sunset and inviting and attracting the attention of the nature lovers. The site has changed completely into a water glass nowadays in the sub zero temperature.  The District Administration is contemplating to further develop this Amrit Sarovar River Front as a source of water sports in near future to further boost the tourism activities in the district.
