A one-day Counselling program on Psychological wellbeing was organized by the Islamic University of Science and Technology today. The resource person of the session was Dr. Harshdeep Joshi, an expert in Community Medicine. The workshop organized by the Dean Outreach was attended by students and research scholars from different departments of the university.
The objective of the program was to offer a platform for the participants to discuss their social, or psychological problems and educate them about mental well-being. Talking about the relevance of such sessions for researchers and students, Dr. Joshi said that academics and research involve deep concentration that sometimes adds to the stress of a scholar/student and such counseling programs help to mitigate the impact of such stress on the physical and psychological health of the students.
