Himalayan Education Mission School Rajouri J&K , the only school from UT of Jammu and Kashmir is given *National Award ‘ Swach Vidyalaya Puraskar —-2021-22 ‘* in the category of *Behavioural Change and Capacity Building* by *Ministry of Education, Dept of School Education Govt. Of India.* The award was conferred by *Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Education , Dr Subhas Sarkar* who was also the chief guest of the occasion in presence of *Hon’ble MoS , Ministry of Education Dr Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh* and Umpteen dignitaries and senior officers from Dept of School Education, Union Ministry of Education in addition to heads of the Depts and representatives from different States and UTs of India , in a grand ceremony at Akashvani Rang Bhavan, All India Radio, Sansad Marg, Delhi today on 19th of Nov. 2022. The award was received by Mohd Farooq Muztar alongwith a student Swatchta Monitor on behalf of Himalayan Education Mission. The school was earlier also awarded Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2022, UT level Award by Sh Manoj Sinha Hon’ble Lt Governor J&K.
A total of 39 schools from all over India from different states and UTs country were selected on the basis of certain parametres after several phases of scrutiny conducted by independent teams with technical support of UNICEF.
