2-day disaster preparedness and response training program kick starts at GHSS Chiktan

On the direction of Deputy Commissioner/Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), two-day Disaster Preparedness and Response Training Program kick-started today at Govt. Higher Secondary School Chiktan.

Chairperson BDC Shakar Chiktan Sayeeda Banoo, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Shakar Chiktan Muhammad Sharief Kakpori, Tehsildar Chiktan Ghulam Rasool, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Chiktan Dr Zahra Batool, Principal GHSS Chiktan Mehfooz Ali, Incharge Police Post Chiktan Sarajdin besides PRI members, sub-divisional officers and officials, representative of DDMA, ex-servicemen and students were present on the occasion.

The SDM presented welcome speech and briefed the audience about the training program. He stressed on participants to acknowledge about basic disaster management and appreciated them for attending such training programs.

The BMO also spoke about the health perspective of disaster preparedness on the occasion.

Incharge Police Post Chiktan Sirajdin spoke about the police perspective of disaster preparedness and response.

Representative of DDMA Bashir Hussain gave a detail presentation on disaster preparedness and response while Tehsildar Chiktan presented vote of thanks.

Later, a mock drill also organized. The training is being organized in collaboration with DDMA, UTDRF, BMO, Police, Fire & Emergency Services, BDO, Yakland Enterprises Kargil, and Ex-Serviceman Association Shakar Chiktan.
