DC Srinagar stresses upon spread of mass awareness on drug de-addiction, inculcation of moral values amongst youth

 

As a part of celebrations of Flag Day of Bharat Scouts and Guides, an impressive function was organized by J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides at DC Office Complex here on Monday.

 

The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

 

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner was presented a foundation day sticker by the Scouts and Guides in presence of their leaders.

 

On the occasion, the DC was apprised about different activities being taken by J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides aimed at building the character of the young people through inculcating the value of self-discipline, social service and patriotism.

 

While wishing Scouts and Guides, the DC called upon the members to render their selfless services to build the character of the youth of the society. He further impressed upon the Scouts and Guides to spread mass awareness regarding drug de-addiction by organizing programmes across the District and helping Administration in fight against drug menace.

 

The DC also lauded the Cadets, Officials and everyone associated with the Scouts and Guides movement for their selfless service to the society, inculcating moral values amongst the youth and carrying forward the legacy of the movement for nation building.

 

District Secretary JK Bharat Scouts and Guides, Imran Khan, other Officials, Boys Scouts and Girls Guides were present on the occasion.
