Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Ganderbal Police arrested one more notorious Drug Peddler. During patrolling, Police Party led by DO PP Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Headquarters apprehended one person at Wakura and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.
During his personal search 11 Kgs Cannabis Powder (Bhang) was recovered and seized on the spot. During further questioning the accused disclosed his identity as Nazir Ahmad Rather @Kanwar S/O Gh Mohidin Rather R/O Ganai Mohalla Wakura. It is pertinent to mention here that the said accused person had been previously booked under three NDPS Cases, 02 in PS Ganderbal and 01 in PS Kheerbawani
In this regard Case FIR No. 316/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Ganderbal and investigation has been taken up.
General public has applauded the efforts of Ganderbal Police for eliminating the menace of drugs from the society.
People are also requested to co-operate with the J&K Police so that Drug peddlers shall be curbed effectively in future also.
